The original buckskin shirt from which this painting was taken was hand made and decorated by Alexis’ husband, Rod White Eagle Wilson, who is a member of the Wolf Clan of the Tsalagi (Cherokee) Nation of North America.
Each aspect of the shirt is symbolic.
The ‘handprints’ declare that we have overcome our enemy.  The ‘stripes’ represent victories won and weapons taken from the enemy in battle and the ‘hair’ speaks of honor bestowed upon victorious warriors.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.
