Workshops & Seminars:
The workshops & seminars I do are listed here with a bit of info about what you learn in each of them: Water Color (4/5 days or 2 days)Workshops are to build up the artist with technical skills in using water and color. It is a hands on learning experience with lots to take home to develop in your own studio time. Covers: Compositional elements in building a strong focal area. Setting up a pallette. Broad stokes in color theory. Techniques of applying pigments to paper. Think lists and pulling it together. Perhaps most important is a release of inspiration and impartation for a passion to paint. Color Theory (5 days or a 2 day seminar)This workshop covers some history of color, drawing from studies by ITTEN, Chevreul, modern day colorist Stephen Quiller and Jim Ames and personel experiments of Alexis Wilson. These theories work in all painting mediums. I usually teach these sessions using gouche or watercolor. You will learn characteristics of colors and how they work together to create exciting color combinations. This workshop can lead you into life time discoveries in working with color. Creative Process (4 hours)This is a series of lectures on the origin of creativity, the process of creativity, and friends and enemies of creativity. Can be taught along with other seminars or a seperate session. Request More Info |
